U = Taijasa Dream State - conscious of internal objects

M = Prajna (Prajnya) Deep Sleep - Unification of all experience


Silence around AUM = Turiya "Turiya is not that which is conscious of inner (subjective world) world, nor that which is conscious of the outer (objective) world, nor that which is conscious of both, not that which is mass of consciousness. It is not simple consciousness, nor is it unconsciousness. It is unperceived, unrelated, incomprehensible, uninferable, unthinkable, and indescribable. It is all peace, all bliss. This is Atman."

8. Caste - There are approximately three thousand modern castes, or jati, kin groups. Actually this group while called “castes” in Western studies are really broad classes of castes. Traditionally there are four classes.

Today the “outcaste” is a lower caste or class.


1. Brahmin, Rajanyas (Priest - Scholar) - twice born

2. Kshatriya (Warrior - Nobel) - twice born

3. Vaishya, Vaisya (Aryo-Dasas - Commoner - Worker - Artisan, Cultivator, Producers, Merchant, Small landowner) - twice born

4. Shudra, Sudra, Dasas ( Non-Aryans, Slave - Servant, Worker) - Not twice born


Harijan (Outcaste), Lowest outcastes are the untouchables, Highest are the temporary outcastes.
